Ex-Base Chief Dies on Bermuda Cruise

richard haase72 yr old Richard T. Haase died on Friday, May 7, at King Edward Hospital after falling seriously ill that morning while on vacationing aboard a cruise ship.

Mr Haase, an American from Pennsylvania, had formerly worked in Bermuda for the US Government.

He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1976, retiring from active duty and moving on to become Chief of the Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service [DRMO] working for the Civil Service in Bermuda.

In addition to his wife of 50 years Nancy Haase, Mr Haase is survived by four children and six grandchildren.
