Photos: Truck, Car & Motorcycle Collision

July 2, 2010

A collision involving three vehicles slowed traffic on North Shore today [July 2], as Police were diverting traffic for approximately two hours after three vehicles [a truck, car and motorcycle] collided on North Shore Road and East Point Lane in Hamilton Parish.

The Police and first responders arrived at approximately 12:25pm today and the motorcyclist, a 19 year old Devonshire woman, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment for injuries to her legs. Bernews understands that her injuries are not considered serious.

The Police say that details about how the collision occurred are “unclear at this time”, and that it “appears that some of the vehicles involved were extensively damaged”. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Adrian George on 295-0011.

Not all would agree with you Mr Dewar, we are having the same convo on Facebook. Search the word in Google News, and you will see hundreds of news orgs using it in a similiar capacity including some very major outlets including Forbes, Rime, ABC etc. Like I said on FB, I pretty much assume if those multi million dollar international orgs can use it, so can Bernews :-)

That said, upon it being pointed out to me, it doesn’t read well so I will refrain from using it again.
