Football U/17s Lose to St Kitts
Bermuda’s U17 youth football team hopes of advancing to the next round of the World Cup qualifier were dashed today, when they lost 3-2 to St. Kitts & Nevis in their second of three games played in Group E in Trinidad & Tobago. Man Found Dead In Railway Trail Area
Just before 5pm today [Aug 20] a 32-year-old man was found in an unresponsive state in the area of the Railway Trail in Southampton. He was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Alleged CarJacker Released On Bail
31-year-old Jerome Dublin was granted bail in the amount of $25,000 in Magistrates Court yesterday [Aug 19], with conditions including a curfew and avoiding contact with the victim in the case. Peter Leitner Arts Scholarship Awards
On August 9th the Peter Leitner Arts Scholarship awards took place at Splendido at Horizons. The scholarship is named after Peter Leitner, a Hungarian Jew who fled his homeland at the age of 19 during the quelling of the Hungarian Uprising in 1956. Owen Siese Moves To 7th in Singapore
Bermudian sailor Owen Siese dropped slightly today [Aug 20] as the Byte CII sailors completed Race 5 and Race 6 at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Owen dropped from 4th to 7th place overall with finishes of 12 and 8 today. Today’s conditions saw the wind fluctuating between 3 and 12 knots, punctuated with delays caused by rain showers....
