Fatal Drowning in Hamilton Parish

A few minutes after 7pm tonight [Aug 25] the Police responded to a “report of a marine incident” at Green Bay Road in Hamilton Parish. In addition to Hurricane Danielle, a tropical storm is forming in the Atlantic and both are expected to pass by Bermuda. Improved: Second Quarter Tourism Statistics

Bermuda’s tourism numbers have improved, with total arrivals for the second of quarter of 2010 increased by 24.46% with 252,734 visitors flying, cruising and sailing to the island during this period, up from 203,067 during the same period in 2009. Golf: Bailey and Dillas Win Medal

Gillian Bailey shot a round of 78 to win the Ladies Round of the August Monthly Medal at the Tuckers Point Golf Course. Ms. Bailey got by Tracy Nash who finished five strokes back after she carted a 83, while Susan Vallis shot 85.
