Capital G Announces New Appointments

Capital G Bank Limited has made several internal appointments related to its sales and service areas. Michael Veale, Angela Brangman, Lawrence Fox, Rob Bernardino and Karen Brown have all been appointed to new positions. Michael Veale
Michael Veale has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Retail and Commercial Banking. In his new role, Michael will be responsible for Personal Lending, Business Banking and Financial Services within Personal Banking. Michael joined Capital G in April 2008 as VP & Head of Business Banking and was charged with the formation of the new commercial banking division of the bank. Since that time, Michael has built a strong business banking team, retained and attracted a loyal list of clients as well as grown commercial loans and deposits in alignment with the Bank’s targets. His commitment to providing superior client service is consistently demonstrated in every aspect of his client and employee interactions and is the core of his management philosophy. Michael will be supported by three new sales team leaders.

Karen Brown
Karen Brown assumes the position of Head of Personal Lending and will be responsible for the strategic and product development of the Bank’s Loan department and oversee the personal lending portfolio of customers. Karen will manage a team of experienced lenders and administrative support while working with Credit Risk Management to recommend Loan Policy as it pertains to the personal loan and mortgage financings undertaken. Karen first joined Capital G in June 2004 and brings to her new role more than 20 years experience in lending and credit management. Karen transitions to her new role from her current position as Senior Relationship Manager in Business Banking.

Rob Bernardino
Rob Bernardino has been appointed the new Head of Business Banking. Rob is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Business Banking division where he will oversee the business banking portfolio of clients and manage the Business Banking team to effectively sell Bank deposit products and services. Rob brings years of experience in business banking to his new position following a successful career in Canada with one of the world’s leading banks, Scotia Bank and RBC Dexia Investor Services. Most recently Rob held the position of Relationship Manager within Capital G Business Banking.

Lawrence Fox
Effective August 30th, Lawrence Fox will be heading the Financial Services Department., developing and managing the Bank’s personal deposit products and banking services. Lawrence will be responsible for the development of new clients and the management of existing personal client relationships while proactively identifying and seeking out new business opportunities. Lawrence has been engaged in Capital G’s Leadership Development Programme for the last eight months and has been with Capital G Bank since 2006. Currently a Private Banker, Lawrence first joined Capital G Bank as a Financial Services Representative. His advancement into the position of Head of Financial Services is a natural evolution in his career and a testament to the success of the Leadership Development Programme and its mission to develop and retain key employees.

Angela Brangman
Recently promoted within the Bank’s Service Standards area, Angela Brangman has assumed a newly created position within the Bank as the Senior Vice President of Service Delivery. She will implement and oversee consistent execution against procedures and policies in accordance with prescribed service and quality standards. She will also manage key service delivery channels including the Call Centre, Teller and Banking Operations. Angela Brangman joined Capital G in January 2006 as a Vice President where she later transitioned to the role of Vice President of Branch Banking in 2007. She served in this capacity until her recent appointment.
