Commonwealth Team Named: 14 Athletes
Fourteen of the island’s top athletes will fly the flag for Bermuda at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India next month. Attempt on Yankee: Anthony Swan Found Guilty
22-year-old Anthony Swan was found guilty this afternoon [Sept 16] in Supreme Court in relation to the December 16th 2009 attempted shooting of Troy “Yankee” Rawlins outside the C&R Discount Store on Court Street at approximately 10:30am that morning. Cruise Ships Diverting, JetBlue Extra Flights
While cruise ships are making plans to avoid Bermuda, JetBlue Airways has added an extra flight between New York/BDA and another between Boston/BDA tomorrow [Sept 16]. DeGroote To Sell $48 Million of CBIZ Stock
Bermuda resident Michael G. DeGroote has entered into a transaction to sell almost $50 million worth of stock in a company he founded saying “at age 77 I am looking to realign assets and this transaction will assist me to accomplish this.” The Canadian billionaire will sell about 7.7 million shares of CBIZ stock for approximately $48.1 million.... Hiscox Sells Animal Insurance Business
