Multiple Reports of Boats Breaking Free
While the worst of Hurricane Igor is still yet to come, we are receiving multiple reports of boats breaking free from their moorings and slamming against the rocks. Surge Causing Severe Flooding at Boaz

Bermuda Regiment Soliders Now On Standby
As of 8am today [Sept 19], soldiers have reported into Warwick Camp, and are ready for the impending approach of Hurricane Igor, which is now a Category 1 with 85mph winds. Causeway Closed, Expected To Remain
The Causeway, the bridge leading to Bermuda’s only airport, was closed at 10.15 after the Bermuda Weather Service reported the threat of tornadoes at the East End due to Hurricane Igor. Hurricane Igor Kills Two In Caribbean
Hurricane Igor, currently nearing Bermuda, is being blamed for two suspected deaths in the Caribbean. The US Coast Guard was searching on Saturday night for a young woman who was swept out to sea in Puerto Rico and a boy who went missing at a beach in St. Croix. Both disappearances were blamed on large swells and dangerous currents kicked up by Igor.... Read more of this article

Hurricane Igor Weakens To Category 1
As of their 3am [Bermuda time] update today [Sept 18], the US National Hurricane Center states that Hurricane Igor has weakened to a Category 1 hurricane, carrying maximum sustained winds of 90mph. Although Bermuda is still in for a severe battering, this is an improvement as Igor was at one point a mighty Category 4, carrying winds of over 150mph. The... Read more of this article
