22-Year-Old in ICU Following Bike Accident

A 22-year-old St Georges man is in the Intensive Care Unit following a motorcycle accident last night [Oct 19] in the east end.

Around 10:30pm last night, Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Southside Road in St. George’s near the Southside Family Bowl. They say that it appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Southside Road when the rider lost control and collided with a sidewalk and a tree.

The St. David’s man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment where he is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The motorcycle was extensively damaged.

Police state that inquiries into this incident are underway, and any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact PC Eric Krueger on 295-0011.
