Pair Plead Guilty on $800,000 Drugs Charge
Two men appeared in court this morning [Oct 25], and pleaded guilty to drug importation between an ‘unknown date’ and November 2008. 33-year-old Kenneth Butterfield and 25-year-old Kyle Ingham were remanded in custody, and will be sentenced at a later date. BDA Response to Auditor’s TCD Report
Michael Fahy, Bermuda Democratic Alliance spokesperson for Finance has commented on the Auditor General’s report saying that the TCD Motor Vehicle Safety and Emissions Testing Programme had an initial budgeted cost of $5.3 million, however it ended up costing the taxpayer approximately $10 million more – $15.23 million. Lisa Blackburn Wins Gold Medal in Ontario

Canadian Charged In $1.7 Million Drug Case
A 46-year-old Canadian woman appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Oct 25] accused of trying to smuggle $1.7 million worth of drugs into Bermuda. Janet Grant was arrested at LF Wade International Airport on Thursday, October 21st upon her arrival on the island.
