Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know
this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

Patrick, no need to get too worked up. It’s just Graeme Outerbridge, a contrarian if anything. That he should diss Martin in so pompous a fashion is no surprise. Unfortunately, it’s a sign of the times; just the kind of mindset that prevents people from working together, which I’m sure Mr. Martin thinks is critical for future well-being.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. But the rest of us are entitled to ignore it. How a man who “Computer World” ranked as the fourth most influential individual in the history of computer science can be dismissed as overrated is beyond me. How a man who has been nominated for a Pulitzer and is universally praised for his open, accessible prose style can be accused of poor writing is also a curious comment. Unlike so many wealthy, socially-detached entrepreneurs, Dr. Martin is clearly very much interested in the world around him. And he’s investing his money in an attempt to make the world a better and more sustainable place. My God, he’s donated $150 million to the cause of global well-being — surely one of the most unselfish acts in modern history. And as far as I know, he still spends most of the year here. Can’t understand your unkind opinion of the man — altho’, as I said at the outset, you’re certainly entitled to it.

I think he is over rated and his last book was very poorly written^^ He does not spend that much time in Bermuda anymore either.
