Burglary Charges: Battered Man Appears in Court

This morning [Nov 9] 43-year-old Winslow “Scalie” Williams appeared in Magistrates Court in relation to the now infamous incident that occurred on November 4th in the Loyal Hill, Devonshire area.

Mr Williams was found laying on the ground in an unresponsive state after sustaining injuries inflicted by members of the public after being allegedly caught breaking and entering. He received medical treatment on the scene, and was then taken away via ambulance for further medical care.

Mr Williams was this morning charged with two counts of burglary at Loyal Hill Pass and North Ridge Crescent. He was remanded in custody.

Mr Williams, who was released from hospital on the same day of the incident, appeared to have some visible bruising today, however was walking comfortably as he was escorted to and from Court.
