We would like to thank all of the volunteers that will help with this event and wish the organizers and the competitors much success this weekend.”

“With one of the most beautiful race courses in all of triathlon, we’re excited to bring the SheROX experience to Bermuda this weekend,” said Barb McKeever, SheROX Series Director. “By providing an inclusive race experience, the SheROX Series has encouraged more than 10,000 women to participate in triathlon and live an active and healthier life style. We want to thank the Bermuda Department of Tourism and the people of Bermuda for their hospitality and for agreeing to the partial closure of South Road for a few hours on Sunday morning so we can showcase this beautiful island to our SheROX athletes.”

Local Race Director and President of the Bermuda Triathlon Association Neil de ste Croix commented that once again Bermuda would be at the forefront of the triathlon world by hosting this important event.

He said, “During Bermuda’s golf and spa season it is vitally important that the community come together to welcome over 150 overseas athletes to our shores. The Bermuda Department of Tourism realizes that sports tourism is a vital part of our economy and having so many athletes come to Bermuda in the shoulder months is vital, as many of the athletes are travelling with other family members and friends.”
