Coast Guard to Medevac Injured Man
According to a US Coast Guard statement issued this evening (Dec 31), they are “preparing to rescue the injured 2nd mate of the Greek flagged merchant vessel Aegean Angel approximately 500 miles northeast of Bermuda.” The man was injured yesterday when a wave crashed on the deck, an incident which also killed two other crewmembers. Players Invited to National BBall Team Tryouts
Over 30 players have been invited to try out for the Bermuda Men’s National Basketball Team. “2011 looks to be a very busy and exciting year for the team. Sailors Return from Miami Orange Bowl Regatta
The 2010 Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta finished on Thursday for the 6 person Bermuda Laser contingent. This year’s Orange Bowl combined 665 sailors in 6 classes racing on 4 courses. Accident Report: Two Collisions
Around 9:40am yesterday morning (Dec 31) Police and first responders attended an accident at the junction of Mangrove Bay Road and East Shore Road in Sandys involving a truck and an auxiliary cycle. Bermuda Cricket Team Heads to Dubai

Day 2: Sailing World Champs in Malaysia
Makai Joell continued his hot steak during Day 2 of the IODA Sailing World Championships in Langkawi, Malaysia by scoring a 31 and 21 respectively in the day’s two races (Dec 31).
