Photos: 2011 Front Street Mile Races
Last night cars and bikes were nowhere to be found, as top runners from the island and overseas laced up their shoes for the Front Street Mile. A new record set in the Elite Women’s race, when defending champion Kenia Sinclair from Jamaica finished in a time of 4:33.6, and Phillip Lagat won the Elite Men’s Race in a time of 4:20.2.
Carifita medalist Shaquille Dill picked up the win in the Senior Boys, and Kaley Hook won the Senior Girls. Jennifer Alen and Gary Raynor won the Adult miles. Ms Alen is pictured below with Tamika Williams and Victoria Fiddick, who placed 2nd and 3rd.
Messiah Greaves and Aaron Jacobs won the Primary School races and Kyrah Scraders and Paul Smith won the Middle School races. You can view full results here, and full video coverage here.
