Video: Aaron Evans Wins 800 Metres

Bermuda’s 800m national record holder Aaron Evans won his season starter at the Texas A&M Challenge held this past weekend at Gilliam Stadium in Texas. Mr Evans, competing for the University of Georgia, came from behind late in the race to take the victory.

The son of Dr. Freddie Evans and Gina Evans, he attended Warwick Academy till he was 16, then left to attend Cushing Academy in Massachusetts. He was previously a semifinalist in the 800 at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic, won a silver medal in the 800m at the 2009 Carifta Games and a bronze medal at the 2008 Carifta Games.
