Chris Rego Wins Two Games in El Salvador

christopher regoTeenage tennis sensation Chris Rego has started off great in the ITF Central American and Caribbean Tennis Federation’s Under-14 Tournament by winning his first two matches.

Chris beat a competitor from Guyana and Dominica to lead his group, having not given up a point in his two matches.

Chris played two qualifying games in the COPA Gatorade International Tournament in El Salvador, an event which is part of the COTECC Junior Circuit.

Competing in Group VII during the Round Robin Qualifying Stage, Chris won his first match in straight sets 4 – 0, 4- 0 over Christopher Herrera from Guyana, and then he defeated Jose Olivares from Dominica in straight sets 4 – 0, 4 – 0.

    Minor point: The headline should read “…wins two matches…”. There is a big difference between “game” and “match” in tennis.
