March 10, 2011

The smouldering remains of the Riddell’s Bay golf course brush fire briefly flared up again last night [Mar. 9] and had to be hosed down by the Bermuda Fire Service.

A major fire broke out at the Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club on Tuesday night. It took fire fighters five hours — and more than 3000 gallons of water — to extinguish the blaze.

JMO, but should have piled it together in a dense pile, let it burn, burn hot & clean & be over within a few hours.

Addng water trying to put it out just makes it smoke more & stink more.
