I worked in Jamaica in a similar size hotel, not only would school children tour the hotel they would spend the afternoon in the pool with complimentary lunch.

Director of Learning is an Expat. touring Bermudian Students. Aren’t you sending the wrong message here?

The training director and regional director of sales and marketing are they related, both have the same last name.

Yes folks the students are getting a lesson in nepotism!

History lesson #1, Bermuda has been in the Hospitality/Tourism business for over 150 years.

Maybe the students should learn about the history of Hamilton Princess.

Its a start…maybe they can incorporate your suggestions for next year. I think since Tourism is still a major pillar this is a great step that maybe all middle school students should be exposed to. As long as the exposure is relevant to these young folk, career opportunities and benefits maximized we can start grooming a tourism workforce for locals. Cause lets be real folks, people who travel here want to mingle with Bermudians when they come and learn about us…not talk to someone that can’t represent our island and traditions.
