CableVision Experiences Technical Issue

This afternoon [May 10] Bermuda CableVision experienced a technical issue that has affected customer cable boxes. Terry Roberson, General Manager of Bermuda CableVision said the company hopes to have service restored by 6:30pm this evening.

Mr Roberson’s full statement follows below:

“Bermuda CableVision would like to advise its subscribers that, due to a technical issue experienced this afternoon, several cable boxes have shut down throughout the island.

Bermuda CableVision is currently working to restore boxes and anticipates that this work will be complete by 6.30 pm tonight while we re-boot the boxes to resolve this issue.”

“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by this temporary interruption to our services and are working as quickly as possible to minimise outages for our customers.

We encourage any subscribers still experiencing an issue after 9:00 pm tonight to contact us on 292-5544.”
