Kiera Aitken Wins Gold & Bronze Medal

swim100426 aitkenKiera Aitken has won a Gold and Bronze Medal on the final day in the Open Championship of Catalonia Absolute Swimming Trophy in Spain.

Ms Aitken recorded the fastest qualifying time in the Women’s 50 Long Course Meter Backstroke Preliminaries with a time of 30.54, she then lowered that mark competing in the Women’s 50 Long Course Meter Backstroke Semi-Finals with a time of 30.45 to advance to the Finals.

In the Women’s 50 Long Course Meter Backstroke Final she again lowered that time by clocking 29.65 in winning the Gold Medal.

Ms Aitken recorded the 4th fastest time of 59.64 competing in the Women 100 Long Course Freestyle preliminaries, she then won the Bronze Medal in the Women 100 Long Course Freestyle Final finishing 3rd clocking 59.15.
