Ministry: East End Road Works Complete
This evening [May 18] the Ministry of Public Works said the resurfacing of the roundabout at the junction of Blue Hole Hill and Wilkinson Avenue is now complete.
The resurfacing was carried out over two days [yesterday and today] and formed part of the Ministry’s routine road resurfacing programme for 2011.
A spokesperson said, “Unfortunately, due to the condition of the road, the work was more extensive than originally planned. This led to delays in completing the resurfacing before the afternoon peak traffic hours. It was determined that the assistance of the Bermuda Police Force was required on both days to reduce the congestion, facilitate better traffic flow and to assist the Public in getting to and from the Airport.”

The Ministry apologized for the inconvenience, and thanked the Public for their cooperation during this period.
