The Princess Royal To Visit In June

Government House today [May 4] announced that Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal will make a short working visit to Bermuda in early June 2011.

The visit on the evening of Saturday the 4th and the morning of Sunday the 5th of June will coincide with the visit to Bermuda of a dozen Fellows of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue, of which The Princess Royal serves as President.

The Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue brings together a wide and diverse group of influential, future leaders from the Caribbean, Canada and Bermuda in a two-week leadership development conference.

They come from government, the unions and the private sector. All Fellows will be visiting Canada in late May. Subsequently, while some Fellows will be touring parts of the Caribbean, a group of 12 will be in Bermuda to learn about the Island’s social and economic issues.

Her Royal Highness’s programme is due to include a reception for the Fellows of the Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue at Government House, a Financial Services Briefing and Discussion and a Briefing and Discussion on Community Issues.
