Six Swimmers To Compete In Puerto Rico

Six of Bermuda’s top swimmers will participate in the Central American & Caribbean Swimming Confederation [CCCAN] Championships this year.

Lisa Blackburn, Nicole Yearwood, Rebecca Heyliger, Nicholas Patterson, Ashley Yearwood and Jesse Washington will travel from Bermuda on June 25th to Mayaguez, Puerto Rico where the Championships will take place from June 27th – July 2nd.

Ben Smith, National Coach and Sharks Swim Club Head Coach, said “This will be the first CCCAN Championships for the team with the exception of the Yearwood sisters.”

“Nicholas Patterson will be looking to get his second time in for the Youth Commonwealth and Youth Worlds and Jesse Washington will be getting his second shot at our regional competition.”

“Ashley Yearwood will be looking for more medals following her CARIFTA performance and Lisa Blackburn will be trying to match her great results from last year’s CISC”.
