Troy State Magazine Highlights Kim Swan

“Determination, passion for serving others lands Troy alumnus Kim Swan in Bermuda’s House of Assembly,” reports Troy State Magazine.

The article went on to say: “As a former professional golfer, Troy University alumnus Kim Swan knows the importance of the drive in his golf game. It was a drive of a different kind though that has led Swan to where he is today – a member of the House of Assembly of Bermuda.” The full article can be read here.

Mr. Swan, a UBP MP, graduated from with a bachelor of science degree from Troy University in 1980. While there he was a standout golfer. led the Troy team which placed 4th in 1979 NCAA Division 2 Championship at El Macero Country Club, Davis, California and was named MVP for Troy University in 1979. Mr. Swan went onto become a professional PGA golfer prior to serving in the House of Assembly.

In December of last year, Mr Swan delivered the keynote commencement address at Troy University telling the graduating class he still lived by a code of ethics and discipline instilled in him at the Alabama university.
