The clinic will feature John Moreira. He has a U.S.S.F National A license and also prepares goal-keepers for all level of play from grass roots to University and Pro teams. He is also a licensed representative for the IMG Athletic Academy.

Mr Moreira said, “It is with great pleasure that I am able to come back home to work with Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School, Coach Dennis Brown and Cal Blankendal and last but certainly not least the Kids, which the game belongs to.”

“I have been studying the art of Goalkeeping over the last several year and have had the good fortune and opportunity to work with some of the best in the Goalkeeping industry such as; Dan Gaspar former Portugal National Goalkeeper Coach, Benfica and Porto GK Coach. I have run my own Goalkeeper Academy Eurostar for over 7 years now and, have seen the results produced by our coaches and students.”

“Now I am eager to come home to Bermuda and share my knowledge with the Youth and Coaches of the Island. I come back home with the frame of mind to share knowledge but also learn from the kids.”

“I have seen great talent on the Island on my trips home. Goalkeeping is a specialized position and it is indeed an art. I will with the assistance of Local GK Coaches detail the four components of the position: Technical, Tactical, Physical and Mental.”

Cal / Dennis…Can you advise when John Morreira worked at Roma? I’m assuming this is Roma from the top Italian League, correct. When I read this I was intrigued because there is nothing in John’s bio on his website, that inidicates ever working for Roma. You would think that if John held such a prestigious position it would be at the top of his list of achievements on his site. Please advise in what capacity and what years John held positions with Roma,Bolton,Benfica and Genova.

No Cal, can’t say that I am satisfied with your explanation. Clearly your guy has decent background in Canada but the links to these top European clubs is peripheral at best. But good luck with this.
