Bermuda Hogges Lose 2-0 To Jersey Express

July 23, 2011

The Bermuda Hogges played their final game of the 2011 USL Premier Development League season this evening [July 23] at the BAA field, losing 2-0 to the Jersey Express.

Their opponents took the lead in the 30th minute when Ansger Otto’s right footed shot beat Tahj Bell in goal for the Bermuda Hogges. Jersey Express have scored the most goals in the league for the season, and Bell was called upon to make three saves from the seven first half shots that they took.

In the second half, Otto doubled the lead when his shot in the 59th minute from the edge of the box went through a maze of players and into the back of the net. The Bermuda Hogges had chances to get into the game, however they could not find a way pass Ryan Meara in goal for the Jersey Express. They took 9 shots at goal through the game, while the Jersey Express took 17.
