Bermuda Motors Mechanics ‘Sick-Out’

All the mechanics at Bermuda Motors called in sick today [Aug.2]. A statement from the company said, “Bermuda Motors can confirm that all of its mechanical technicians have called in sick today.”

“All other staff, union and non-union has reported for work and has been at the job throughout the day. We have spoken to the union shop steward and he has informed us that he was not aware these individuals were not going to come to work today.”

“This action has been taken without any formal or informal notice. At this stage until we can speak with the individuals concerned to hear their concerns directly it is difficult for us to make any further comment. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience to our valued customers.”
