Pearman Wins BPGA Round at Port Royal

August 23, 2011

The Bermuda Professional Golfers Association Jack Daniels Golf Tour continued at the Port Royal Golf Course.

The field was limited with several players away for summer breaks and overseas competitions, and Dwayne Pearman showed why he is the points leader throughout this year winning by 5 strokes.

Pearman managed his game the best and limited his mistakes on route to a 4-over par 75. Tied for second was Twilton Smith, Danny Johnson and super senior JJ Madeiros who all shot 9-over par 80’s.

With the season coming to a close in early November, Pearman has a commanding lead in the Order of Merit with the winner receiving a paid entry into the Gosling’s Invitational.

Smith and Daniel Augustus are the only two players who realistically stand a chance of ending Pearman’s charge, but they will have to start securing wins to pry away the title.

  • 80 Danny Johnson
  • 80 JJ Madeiros
  • 82 Brian Morris
