Weather: Cruise Ship To Bypass St George’s

The Veendam cruise ship will bypass Murrays Anchorage in St George’s today [Aug.9], and go straight to Hamilton due to weather conditions. The cruise ship normally stops at Murray’s Anchorage on Tuesdays before docking in Hamilton from Wednesdays to Fridays.

A spokesperson said, “Please be advised due to the current weather conditions the Cruise Ship Veendam has confirmed it will bypass Murrays Anchorage and proceed directly to Hamilton.”

The forecast for today [Aug.9] from the Bermuda Weather Service says, “Periods of rain or showers with occasional thunderstorms. Winds westerly strong, higher gusts in and around any showers. High near 29°C/85°F.”
