Digicel Premier Division Officially Launched
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] and Digicel officially launched the new Digicel Premier Division 2011/12 season.
The announcement was made by BFA President Larry Mussenden and Digicel CEO Wayne Caines during the Charity Cup double header at BAA field this past weekend.
Joining them to making the announcement were BFA Executive Council members and Digicel representatives.
The partnership will involve an investment of over $100,00.00. $55,000.00 of the sponsorship dollars will be going towards the Premier Division Clubs for various awards that will be announced at the end of the season.
In addition, the BFA and Digicel will introduce a new Player of the Month where football fans who will have an opportunity to vote online or text their choice in.
Digicel customers will be able to sign up for SMS texting to receive the latest scores during the Digicel Premier Division leagues games at half-time and at the end of the game and postponed match announcements for $0.10.
Well done digicel. At least that company gives back. I wonder what BF&M is sponsoring with their 11 Million in Profits….
