Two Men Charged: Break-in With Fake Gun

September 20, 2011

In Magistrate’s Court this morning [Sept.20], two 22-year-old Southampton men were charged with trespassing and breaking into the Southampton residence of a female in the early hours of the morning of 17th September 2011.

The allegation laid out by the charge was that the the two – O’Brien Gibbons and Sean Evans – had an imitation firearm in their possession during this alleged break-in.

Since this charge was indictable, neither man was required to enter a plea and the case will be heard in Supreme Court.

Separately, Mr Evans alone was also charged with unlawful assault on the female complainant. This also was alleged to have taken place on the same night.

After a lengthy bail hearing, the Magistrate remanded both men in custody. The pair will re-appear in court next month.

And they get to chill out at our expense. They go to court and some over paid lawyer gets them off because of some loophole. In the meantime, the person who was traumatized has sleepless nights. The system needs to show punks that they cannot violate the rights of others like this.
