PartnerRe Appoints Andrew Turnbull
PartnerRe, a Bermuda-based provider of reinsurance services, has appointed Andrew Turnbull as group strategy and business development officer.
Mr. Turnbull will report to PartnerRe Chief Executive Officer Costas Miranthis. In this position, Mr. Turnbull will help guide the Company’s strategic planning and development, including evaluation of business opportunities.
Mr. Turnbull has more than 21 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry in a variety of underwriting and actuarial roles. Most recently he served as Chief Actuary and Chief Operating Officer of Torus Insurance. Prior to that, Mr. Turnbull was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer of XL Financial Solutions.
Commenting on Mr. Turnbull’s appointment, Mr. Miranthis said, “Andrew is a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets. His focus on strategy and business development will ensure the Company continues to effectively position itself in a changing environment and enhance our ability to meet our long-term goal of superior growth in dividend-adjusted book value per share.”
