On Saturday night [Oct.15] over two hundred spectators gathered in Cedarbridge Academy’s North Block to experience a fashion show put on by the students.

Student models strutted the stage in clothes representing different themes including school uniform, reconstruction, beach, halloween, casual, vintage and safari.

Terry Smith of Clara Bows styled the “Make A Statement” scene with clothing from his store and Lamont Robinson of Jakoma Entertainment styled “Transformations”; a scene that had the models wearing garments that had been transformed. “Dress For Less” was designed and coordinated by Carlton Tyrell and had models taking the stage with clothing obtained from the barn.

Entertainment was provided throughout the night with a DJ playing music, and performances by the school’s music department, concert band and dance group. Refreshments were available from the school canteen with drinks, hot dogs and snacks on the menu.

The Conscious Fashion was directed by head of the arts department Mrs. Patricia Nesbitt and student Jazmyne Kristoff.
