Quiz To Win: Horton’s Rum Cakes

Horton’s Original Rum Cakes is sponsoring a contest through their website, and will be giving away free Rum Cakes.

“We decided on a pre-holiday contest as a way to introduce our revamped website and put a little fun into getting ready for the upcoming holidays,” the company’s managing director Linda W. Horton stated.

To enter the contest, website visitors must answer three questions about “The Original Horton’s Bermuda Rum Cakes” by visiting Hortons.bm and clicking “Enter to Win.” Four winners will be selected. Each winner will receive a dozen/four-ounce Horton’s Chocolate Rum Cakes. Entries must be received no later than midnight, Wednesday November 30. The four winners will be announced at noon, December 2 on the Horton’s website.

Horton fondly recalls the inspiration that launched her gourmet foods company in 1985, the first in Bermuda’s history. “We wanted to offer a smile and a bit of hope during some tough times”. “We started as a cottage industry and the cottage has survived several hurricanes,” Horton jokes from her busy office in Hamilton Parish.
