December 12, 2011

Youth Optimist sailors finished up their regular sailing series for 2011 this past Sunday and capped it off with an awards presentation and Christmas dinner at the RBYC.

Awards for the Hardy Ltd. Autumn Series 2 were given out for Silver and Gold Fleet sailors as well as prizes for the Combined Autumn Series for both fleets.

Bermuda Optimist Dinghy Association (BODA) President Anthony Bailey also introduced Mrs. Richard Kempe who presented the “Dick Kempe BODA Sailor of the Year Award” which is named in memory of her late husband.
