‘Bermy Chicks’ Author’s Book Signing

December 11, 2011

Bermuda author Cha’Von K. Clarke will be signing copies of the latest book in her ongoing “Bermy Chick” chronicles today [Dec. 11] at Brown & Company.

The new local page-turner “Lightning Strikes” is about an outwardly successful Bermudian woman whose upwardly mobile future could be threatened by past indiscretions.

“Everyone has a ‘Black Sheep’ in the family — and at least one woman in your family, if not you, has made bad choices with men,” said the author. “On the outside, Miecah looks like a million dollars. She’s educated, career-oriented and confident.

“But, internally, Miecah holds many secrets that threaten to expose her true self to the world. Will her past haunt her to the very end?

Ms Clarke’s other books include the first two volumes in the “Bermy Chick” series “Streets are Listening … God is Watching and“ONYX…Rekindling”and her other new publication “Stolen Whispers”, a celebration of life and love. She will also be signing copies of that book today as well.

Her CKC Corporation recently published accident survivor De’Jon Simmons’  account of his recovery “Memories Of My Scars.”

“At today’s event Bermudian poets, musicians and singers of all ages can take the mic Chewstick-style,” she said.  ”There will also be a mini-fashion show featuring Rene Hill’s collection of scarves.

“And there’s  free cake for everyone! What more could you want? This promises to be a fun-filled family event so please stop by.”
