‘Drummer Boy’ A Christmas Classic

A Bermudian take on the classic Christmas song “Little Drummer Boy” — with Gombey drums providing the “pa rum pum pum pums” — has become an instant local Yuletide tradition.

Released last year by Wendell [Shine] Hayward, ”Saxy Drummer Boys” features the renowned Bermuda jazz artist on saxophone with the Pickle Spence Gombeys.

A fixture on Bermuda radio stations’ Christmas playlists, the CD single is available at Shine’s Music, Music Box and other retail outlets.
