Last Olde Towne Market Of 2011

[Cancelled] St. George’s last Olde Towne Market for the year will be held on Sunday [Dec.17], offering everything from home-made jams and preserves to Christmas gift baskets for those thinking of putting authentically Bermudian presents under their trees.

Water Street will be lined with stalls when the popular East End event gets underway at 2 pm.

Food vendors will also be on hand with snacks ranging from fish chowder to Christmas treats on sale while there will be fun castles set up for youngsters.

Many St. George’s shops and restaurants will also be open tomorrow afternoon — the last Sunday before Christmas — trying to lure those making the trip to the East End for the market.

Update Dec. 18: Today’s event is cancelled, however organizers said they hope to have another market before Christmas.
