Five More Qualify For Carifta Games

During the Bermuda Track and Field Association’s Golden Onion Series II Blue Track Meet at the National Sports Center this weekend five more athletes reached the Qualifying Standards for the Carifta Games.

Kiezhari Knight reached the Qualifying Standard in the Under 17 Girls High Jump with a leap of 1.61, while Khianda Pearman reached the Standard in the Under 20 Girls High Jump leaping 1.68.

Kidane Callender met the Qualifying Standard for two events, first he recorded a time of 11.28 in the Under 17 Boys 100m and then he recorded a time of 22.83 in the Under 17 Boys 200m.

Tyrone Oswald met the Qualifying Standard for the Under 20 Boys Long Jump with a leap of 6.74 and Jeneko Place Qualified for the Under 20 Boys 200m clocking 21.70.

With these five athletes meeting the Qualifying Standard, it brings the Bermuda Carifta Qualifiers to a total of 23.
