Women’s Futsal League Results

Women’s Futsal League action continued yesterday [Feb.25] at the Bermuda College, with Dandy Stars Two and North Village Lady Rams walked away with wins, and PHC Lady Zebras and Somerset Hurricanes drew 2 – 2.

Dandy Stars Two 4 Hamilton Parish 2

Although Dandy Stars Two controlled most of the game, Hamilton Parish made it interesting especially in the second half when Leylanni Nesbitt dominated play and scored her 2 goals for Hamilton Parish, but the Dandy Stars Two also got two goals from Alana Burchall and single strikes from Rickell Smith and Atiya Symonds in their win.

S The Lady Rams led 2 – 1 at the half and pulled away late in the second half. Dandy Stars One were always in the game with Raynia Maybury leading the way for them with two goals while K’sheala Burch-Waldron added the other, 6 different players scored for the Lady Rams, as Leanne Yates, Kyla Kamatar, Khyla Brangman, Whitnae Duer, Carrie Strong and Naquita Robinson all found the back of the net.

PHC Lady Zebras 2 Somerset Hurricanes 2

Fans were treated to nonstop action as both teams went back and forth in each half with PHC falling behind in the first half 1 -0 after a penalty kick by Somerset’s play/coach Lissa Fisher, who inspired her younger players with her never say die play. PHC scored twice in the second half through their leading scorer Aaliyah Nolan and Coyshea Fox. However, Somerset applied pressure in the final 5 minutes of the game, with Tasia Trott scoring late with only a few minutes left. Somerset came close to scoring the winner, but PHC desperately defended to keep the score even.
