Aitken Wins Gold & Silver In Spain
Bermudian swimmer Kiera Aitken came away from the Catalan Circuit of Trophies Competition in Barcelona, Spain with a Gold and Silver Medal.
Aitken finished second in her first Heat of the Women’s 50m Backstroke Preliminaries, clocking a time of 30.28 to advance to the Quarter-Finals.
Aitken finished 3rd in Heat 2 of the Women’s 50m Backstroke Quarter-Finals where she touched the tape in a time of 30.54, her time moved her to the Semi-Finals, where Aitken finished in time of 30.22.
In the Women’s 50m Backstroke Final, Aitken lowered her time to capture the Gold Medal with a winning time of 29.81.Aitken then captured a Silver Medal in the Women’s 100m Backstroke Final,in a time of 1:04.82.
