The Progressive Labour Party will be hosting two community based initiatives over the next two weekends. The PLP conducts its annual Voter Registration Drive on Saturday, March 24th, and will also hold a Clean Up Our Community Day on Saturday, March 31.
A spokesperson said, “From 9 am to 12 noon, representatives from all 36 constituencies will be positioned island-wide to provide opportunities for residents to confirm their registration details and for first time registrants to complete their documents.
“The PLP holds this Voter Registration Drive annually to make it simpler and easier for voters to register at a convenient time and place as it is an offense to not be properly registered.”
Additionally, the PLP will also be holding a Clean Up Our Community Day on Saturday, March 31, 2012. From 8am until 12 noon, PLP members and friends will take to the streets in various locations island-wide to assist in the removal of litter and trash.
Members and friends of the Party that would like to sign up to assist are encouraged to contact the PLP Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 292-2264
