Rolfe Commissiong Not Yet Rolled Out
The Progressive Labour Party has not yet officially confirmed if Rolfe Commissiong — who was selected in a candidate selection meeting almost six months ago — will serve as a candidate in the next General Election.
When asked by Bernews if Mr Commissiong will be formally confirmed, a party spokesman replied yesterday saying, “The Progressive Labour Party will be rolling out our candidates as we see fit.”
On September 20, 2011, Mr Commissiong was selected as the winner in a candidate selection meeting in Constituency #21 Pembroke South East,
Considered one of the more secure PLP areas, Ashfield Devent has held the seat for almost ten years, securing a margin of 526 – 252 against the UBP’s Tillman Darrell in 2007.
Mr Devent was challenged by Government consultant Rolfe Commissiong, Senator Jonathan Smith, and Vance Campbell, with Mr Commissiong being given the nod. Mr. Commissiong has previously stood for election for the PLP, however he ran in Paget constituencies that were considered by many to be UBP ‘safe seats’.
The PLP has been rolling out candidates since November 2011, with those formally confirmed including Vance Campbell, Diallo Rabain, Lt. Col David Burch, Lovitta Foggo, Patrice Minors, Marc Bean, Dale Butler, Scott Simmons, J. Dawn Simmons, David Burt, Neville Tyrrell, Kim Wilson, Linda Merritt, Lawrence Scott, Walton Brown, Darius Tucker, Jonathan Smith, A.L Vince Ingham, and Stephen Todd.
They have however been phone-polling the area’s constituents with overly vague questions as to whether you would vote for DeVent or Commissiong and how you would rate Paula Cox.
Even the PLP are embarrassed to field him as a candidate.
Spare us. Rolfe is an embarrassment.

The flip flop PLP are actually very embarrassed about rolling out Rolfe and are hesitant to do so. They are already a laughing stock as it is. Could it get any worse? Yep…watch this space!!
meanwhile Rolfe and The Colonel are maintaining radio silence…..given strict orders to keep their mouths shut as everytime them open them they damage the party….I say turn them loose….
More likely they are knocking on doors and winning votes….
If you support those two then you support racism and intolerance and a divided BDA.
