Video: Perozzi Ready For WBA Fight
This morning [Mar.9] the weigh-in for Teresa Perozzi and April Ward was held at the Hamilton Princess, in preparation for their WBA Middleweight fight to be held tomorrow night at the Berkeley Institute.
April Ward, a 26-year-old boxer from Arkansas, was the first on at the scale and weighed in at 156.25lbs, while Perozzi tipped the scale at 158.5lbs.
Ward, who is fighting outside the United States for the first time said, “I have been working hard, harder than I have ever trained before in the gym and I am looking forward to this fight. I don’t feel any added pressure, if I don’t win this belt I will still be the same person.”
Ms Perozzi said, “I am ready, the last time I fought I think I was unprepared, but this time I think I am in the right place, I know my record at home is not that good, but I am looking to make some changes.”
