Coroner: HWP Fire Cause Was Accidental

The Coroner, Mr. Archibald Warner has issued a statement saying the cause of the fire at Holmes Williams Purvey last year was accidental.

The statement reads, “The Coroner, Mr. Archibald Warner having reviewed the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service’s file concerning the investigation into the cause of the fire at Holmes Williams Purvey, 54, St. John’s Road, Pembroke that occurred on Monday August 8, 2011 is satisfied that the fire was accidental.

“Pursuant to section 9 of the Coroner’s Act, 1938 and as read with section 23 of the said Act, the Coroner, has dispense with the need to hold an inquest into the said fire.”

    Everything is “accidental” these days. It’s so nobody can be held accountable. IT’S NOT RIGHT!!! Hurricane Igor was a $4.1 million dollar accident to the cruise ship dock that the taxpayer has to pay for. I accidentally shot someone in the head when I was laid off from my job. BINGO…NOT GUILTY! Not right, not right I tell you!
