I hope that one day the person who is carrying the gun makes a mistake and shoots themselves in the a$$!

    • Owner4Comment says:

lol me 2 but on a more serious note to those that tote WMD’s aka guns on our wonderful but deteriorating streets just think about the broad spectrum your actions are causing a panic through out the lands never felt by Bermudian residents as well as it’s visitors I pray for your sake and ours that this and all of the messages that follow entice you to otherwise put down your weapons at one point in time for good sooner rather then later. It’s not wise to risk spending half of your lives in misery and dispair in prison or worse having to bare the thoughts of killing a man on your soul with that said I hope and pray the you wise up before it’s to #L8te!!!!

    • Tee says:

They probably have done that already, because its still new and exciting to these as$$hole$

  2. Mad Dawg says:

Isn’t it about now that Wayne Furbert comes on and says these stories should be kept quiet because they make Bermuda look bad?

  3. So What Though says:

Thats already happened. Just not in the A$$…In the foot…don’t u read the news?

  4. jt says:

Not much left to say really, is there?

  5. CAT says:

I’m waiting for the day when one of these a$$holes get in a serious road collision after they have shot someone (while they are trying to get away)…both person on the bike injured and found with the gun…sad to say but enough is enough

    • trees says:

I agree, but one can only hope while lying in the road injured, the fuel tank was damaged and their clothes were soaked in gas and a mighty fire erupted.

      • Come correct says:

If I’m around I’ll attempt to put it out with my shovel…

    • Politely Pompous says:

I’ve thought along those lines myself. I’ve said to myself that these guys ride along on these bikes committing acts of terrorism, yet look at how many people have died on our roads in road traffic accidents just going about their lives innocently. I thought that instead of thanking their lucky stars that their journeys on the road are safe, these thugs are out there trying to kill others.

One day that exact thing will happen. They’ll be making a hasty getaway and end up a road traffic fatality…INSTANT KARMA.

  6. Bird says:

Time for a clean sweep. The police need to start moving people if they are sitting around doing nothing. We should be afraid of the police, they should be making our island safe.

  7. The road to hell says:

I cannot believe how these events seem to be now treated as the norm. Where is the urgent action from Government – whichever party. Or from the police?

It’s every day now, and the world is watching you Bermuda.

No amount of praying os going to help. Shots fired in town every week now, and we are all watching (helplessly it seems without risking our own skins) the beautiful island way of life slip into the ghetto.

The time for action has passed ages ago.

Now the law enforcers of the island NEED TO DO SOMETHING. Instead of cruising round to KFC, how about catching some criminals?

Maybe instead of asking for UK help for rare birds (!) how about asking for assistance with that other rare breed – the peace loving Bermudian?

  8. Wait says:

When they finally realise that from this behaviour we have no income coming in the island because of there utter foolishness, and make things harder for their parents then that is when it is going to stop when it is to late. So when you get older start becoming wiser an understand the only ones you are hurting are your children, brothers, and sisters etc because the old are fading out now who is going to be left to run the city if you are chasing them all away.

Stop being boring with this gun violence and go seek some help aka counselling. Have any of you youths ever walked up the cabinet to let them no how you feelin a respectful way because as long as you are going out there killing one another its not helping them or yourselves.

Bless up and Enjoy your weekend and keep safe come and enjoy the Carifta this week and feel the positive vibes and remember money is the rule of evil so don’t worry about what you don’t have and make the best with what you do have family. Peace

  9. lifeblood says:

Who are these people firing at? There were several reports last year of “shots fired” but with no one ever being hit or even targeted. “Evidence” is always collected indicating a weapon was discharged, but who is being fired at? Are these so-called gang members just firing at random before they flee the scene?

    • hmph says:

Probably target practice, because judging by the previous shooting at John Swan’s building a few of the shooters have bad aim.

      • lifeblood says:

My thoughts exactly…it just doesn’t make any sense. Why take the risk of firing a weapon in public, in broad daylight, if you’re not intending to shoot anyone?

        • Politely Pompous says:

Maybe just for intimidation purposes towards their enemies?

          • lifeblood says:

@ Politely Pompous: Maybe…but it just seems very odd…an incredible risk to take especially if there’s no certainty that such an intimidation tactic has even had the desired effect on a target who was most likely not even seen. I would love to know WHERE exactly did the police recover the spent ammunition – a house, a business, an abandoned building…

  10. tricks are for kids says:

Instead of ALWAYS pleading with the shooters to lay theie guns down how about ALSO sending a plea to those who are allowing them to land here? If there were no guns there would be no shooters! So to those that are allowing them to be here be it through the “fronting of money” or turning a blind eye at ports of entry, PLEASE STOP because the same gun that you allow entry may contain a bullet that can hit one of your family members be it by accident or intentionally….I’m just saying……

  12. bermuda says:

out of control. nothing else to say

  13. ..... says:

“It’s no secret that people who are desperately poor and marginalized and locked out of economic opportunities which might make it possible to support themselves and their families are more likely to commit crimes than people with access to good jobs and schools.

    • I disagree with …says because i dont speak from both sides of my mouth and all due respect to you because i really dont know you personally and i will just say that those that have good paying jobs and educated fund the drug trade more then the impoverished. when you put your money into wall street you take a gamble on hoping to get a good return but when you put your money into the drug trade you get a sure return and the interest rate on your dollar you invested brings back a greater value then any legal economic system you can find through out this world, look around and keep thinking that most of our wealthy got to where they are by just mere stocks and bonds, the unfortunate part is the blacks only got the lesser part of the profitable industry and the waiste most of the money on things that can be traced like living large, fancy cars, real estate that is worth much higher then thier lifestyles and the list goes on, whites have a more sophisticated way to hide their wrong doings. why would i state all this beacause i dont have to live in Bermuda, ichoose to and what is on its way is not compared to this,so keep your heads in the sand and say i am the alarmest but dont try to fix it when we become a banana boat republic.
