The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club’s 2012 Season got underway on Sunday [May 6] at the Southside Moto Sports Park in St. David’s.

Haley Place won all three heats in the GP 80 Class while Kewaun Gilbert won all three heats in the Formula Class. The SuperMoto Class saw Peter Terceira win all three heats. Cody Sousa-Saints won all three heats in the SuperBike Class with new competitor Jacob Sousa finishing second three times.

The GP 125 Class turned out to be the battle of the day with Keanu Wilson winning heat one and Bruce Degrilla Jr. finishing second. Cyril Whitter III finished third and new competitor Masala Pace took the fourth position.

In heat two, DeGrilla Jr. turned the tables by winning the race after a see-saw battle for Wilson who eventually finished second while Whitter III finished third and Pace did not finish.

Heat three saw DeGrilla Jr. finish ahead of Whitter III for first place, while Wilson finished third and Pace finished fourth. In the Street Bike Class, new competitor Ryan Resendes placed first in all three heats.
