Couple Visits Bermuda 150 Times Since 1955

June 2, 2012

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Falk from Great Neck, New York have visited Bermuda 150 times since their honeymoon visit in 1955. The couple, who have been married for 56 years, now share their love of Bermuda with their family.

Mrs. Falk remarked, “We love Bermuda. The people are great and it’s so convenient to New York. We love that is so close and we enjoy being in another country.

“We’ve introduced our children and grandchildren to the island and my granddaughter who is 22 has been here 5 times already.” They have stayed at most hotels on island and even the former Bermudian Hotel and Waterloo House.

Minister of Business Development and Tourism, Wayne Furbert is pictured above with Mr. and Mrs. Falk, who were honoured on a special cruise for repeat visitors to Bermuda, organized by the Department of Tourism [BDOT].

Minister Furbert extended the country’s appreciation for the consistent returns and thanked them for sharing their love for Bermuda with friends and family.

More than 75 guests joined Minister Furbert on the Uber Vida for an afternoon cruise around the Great Sound. Visitors represented four countries; Canada, United States, Germany and the United Kingdom and are staying at local hotels and guest properties.

Ditto! Politics aside; thanks for the article, for/to Mr. & Mrs. Falk; for spreading word of their experiences; & even the detractors; who would have EVERYTHING pared down to the politics of a black vs. white party system &/or governance. Less whining & complaining, & more ACTIVE participation in change(yours personally), then the society in which you’re/we’re blessed to breathe/ live is a good starting point! Respectfully, Namaste…xo

    Dear @Shelly Hall,

Why do you people insist on making everything political?

This Couple have yet again decided to spend their hard earned money or pension saving in our beautiful Island, be happy that in a few months Minister Furbert and Mr David Dodwell and Mr Maxwell Burgess of the newly formed Tourism Authority will have introduced gaming as per Minister Furbert’s you tube video in November 2011 where he announced that the Island had already decided to introduce gaming

Be happy that there is unity in the PLP and that Minister Furbert has a plan to take us to an economic recovery.

Now this is a great story! The Bermuda Tourism Dept. should be grabbing a hold of this story and taking this opportunity to promote Bermuda. Get a TV/Radio interview with this couple and play the inverview up and down the east coast of the US. It does not take a rocket scientist to see this opportunity when it presents itself. Get THEIR suggestions on what they thinks sells Bermuda. The NON Bermudian knows better why they comr here!

  7. WinterSun says:

Thank you for loving our Island so much!

Mr. & Mrs. Falk have been coming to Bermuda for so long that they even look like Bermudians!

I think they should be given honorary citizenship (or PRC or som’in) for their loyal contribution to our Island.

Thanks again Mr. & Mrs. Falk, and welcome back home!

  8. The Hell says:
