Terceira’s ‘Lakvels’ Meets Olympic Standard

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation has been advised by the FEI, the World Governing Body for Equestrian sport, that Jillian Terceira, one of the two Bermuda riders vying for the one show jumping spot in the 2012 Olympics in London this summer, has achieved the required qualifying standard on her second horse ‘Lakvels’.

Ms Terceira has already reached the capability standard on her Pan Am Games mount Bernadien, but this success which was achieved at a show in Aalst, Belgium last weekend, gives her another option should she be selected.

The final date for qualifying is 16th June 2012 after which time certificates of capability will be submitted to the FEI for approval, and then a decision will be made by the BEF Board.
