Pacers Win Medals In Philadelphia Track Meet

Eighteen members of the Bermuda Pacers Track Club are currently competing in the United Age Group Coaches Associations Invitational Track Meet at Widener University in Philadelphia.

On Day One the Bermuda Pacers picked up Seven Medals that included four Gold and three Silver on the Day.

Competing in the 200 Meter Dash Bantam Girls Makayla Tucker finished 2nd in Heat 3, but her time of 31.51 saw her finish 11th overall just outside qualifying for the final, Jaiden Furbert-Jacobs finished 14th overall clocking 31.15 and Samual Darrell finished 17 with a time of 31.72 during the Bantam Boys 200 Meter Dash.

Syriah Lottimore qualified for the Midget Girls 200 Meter Dash Finals when she recorded the eighth fastest time in the preliminaries clocking 28.09, One Hart finished 30th with a time of 31.99.

Jared Lawrence finished 22nd in the Intermediate Boys 200 Meter Dash clocking a time of 25.51, Bermuda Pacers finished one and two in the Sub-Bantam Girls 1500 Meter Run picking up a Gold and Silver Medal as Tesyah-Mahle Astwood claimed the Gold with a time of 6:28.24 and Che-Chula Dowling won the Silver in a time of 7:05.54.

Alexcia Burrows finished 9th in the Bantam Girls 1500 Meter Run with a time of 6:37.38, while Giovanni Hollis finished 7th in the Midget Boys 1500 Meter Run clocking 5:37.84. Kyrah Scraders won the Gold Medal in the Intermediate Girls 1500 Meter Run clocking 4:49.68 and Juma Mouchette won the Gold Medal in the Young Men 1500 Meter Run clocking a time of 4:08.75.

Lottimore finished 4th in the Midget Girls Long Jump with a top leap of 4.41m, Deesa Booth won a Silver Medal in the Young Women Shot Put 4kg with a toss of 9.58m, Jahmari Sutton won the Gold Medal in the Intermediate Boys High Jump, while Jah-Nhai Perinchief won the Silver finishing second.
